At a transition point in Viking history, Gudrid is a woman who stands alone. She has traveled, seen far lands, been married to three men, and born sons and daughters. After taking up her residence in Iceland, she returns to Greenland and finds herself in the middle of family discord and must fight for justice while sustaining her heritage.
