All meetings of the City Council are held in public locations. The City Council meets regularly on the following schedule and may meet more often, if needed.

Agendas are available prior to the meetings. Minutes are available following approval. Meeting videos are available as soon after the meeting as is practicable.

The Brookings City Council is dedicated to serving the community by making informed decisions that translate into lasting City improvements.
The City of Brookings has a non-partisan council / manager form of government and its members, a mayor and four councilors, are elected at large and serve in a volunteer capacity. The City Council also serves as the City's Urban Renewal Agency, Local Contract Review Board and sits on the Budget Committee. The mayor's term is two years; councilors serve four year terms.
