Chetco Point Park

Located on the south side of Wharf Street, Chetco Point Park offers access to is a nature park that is being kept accessible with as little development as possible to protect the nearly nine acres located on the south side Wharf Street.

Chetco Point Park offers incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, Port of Brookings-Harbor, Chetco River and Macklyn Cove.  You can still see portions of the old wharf pilings and the rock that was altered to allow the placement of the original wharf, which was used to bring the first locomotive and rail cars into Brookings. The trail out to the point offers several vistas, as well fire rings and picnic tables.

In addition to site seeing and whale watching, visitors to the Point can view native seals on the rocky outcroppings.

Wild flowers and lush foliage are found in abundance at the Point, where they are best appreciated early April through October.
