Councilor Jake Pieper and his wife, Holly, were both raised in Walla Walla, Washington, where Jake studied accounting and business administration at Walla Walla Community College.   

In 2001, shortly after their marriage, Jake and Holly moved to Brookings where their plans included going into business with Jake's father, Bob Pieper.  Together, Jake and his father own and operate Brookings Hearth and Home, located in downtown Brookings.  

Jake and Holly have two small children and Jake says there may be more in the future!.  Both Jake and his wife enjoy the outdoors here in the Brookings area and are actively involved with their church and youth ministry.

Jake's specific areas of concern for the City are Land Use Planning and Urban Renewal.  He is especially interested in helping Brookings become the best place it can be.
