Brookings Municipal Pool Family Cardboard Boat Regatta Gala

Creative Outdoor Summer Family Fun!

The City of Brookings, in collaboration with the Grants Pass YMCA, is hosting its second annual Cardboard Boat Regatta to be held at the Brookings Municipal Pool on Saturday, August 26th between 2-6pm. This wholesome family event is open to all comers and no registration is required. 

The Challenge…Design and build a person powered corrugated cardboard boat capable of racing 25 meters (The length of the pool).  The Boat’s maximum size is 8’ long by 4’ wide. Bring your own cardboard.  We will provide the duct tape.

The Schedule... 2-4 PM Speed Build – Building & Pre-Build Judging

4-6 PM Races, Judging & Titanic float

Also, Inflatable Obstacle Course will be available for kids from 2-4 PM
